Interfloat - Overview

Download Detailspdf

The Interfloat pontoon system is a modular design that is suitable for use in coastal marinas or exposed inland waters.

Exceptionally Durable Pontoons High loading and stability characteristics makes the Interfloat system an ideal solution for public access pontoons and landings. The principle design feature is the concrete decked walkways that can be used either on their own or fitted with Atlantic fingers and accessories.

Unique Innovations

Incorporated into the design are features such as continuous finger adjustment and top access service ducts that are normally only associated with metallic or timber systems.

Concrete deck with brushed finish

  • 4 kN/m² reserve buoyancy
  • 500mm unladen freeboard
  • 2.46m or 2.96m width walkway units available
  • Compatible with Atlantic fingers and fixings
  • Optional
    • Universal finger connection
    • Top access service duct with anodished aluminium cover
    • Pontoon base protection
    • Timber fender

Interfloat - Specification

The Interfloat pontoon system is a modular design that is suitable for use in coastal marinas or exposed inland waters.

Structure

The pontoons have a reinforced concrete structure with integral expanded buoyancy. Reinforcement near the surface is galvanised.

Pontoons can be supplied with textile or painted protection to the base of the polystyrene. Alternative heavier duty treatments can be supplied where required.

Connections

The units are connected end to end with flexible connections compromising M37 galvanised bolts and rubber bushes. Units may be connected side to end by prior design.

Moorings

The pontoons may be fixed either by pile or flexible moorings. 4 No. mooring points with access from the deck are built into the structure.

Service Ducts

Continuous top access service ducts may be built into all units down both sides. Ducts are fitted with anodised aluminium covers as standard.

Fenders

Walkways are fitted as standard with 145x70mm softwood fenders.

Lifting Points

For safe handling built in lifting points are included in all units

Moorings Options

The pontoons may be fixed by piles or flexible moorings. Standard pile guides are available for tubular piles. Guides are provided with low friction lining and have universal longitudinal adjustment. Special guides for use with other types of pile can be supplied. Pile guides built into the walkway deck can be provided where alongside mooring is required.
