Download Detailspdf

This range of pontoons caters for heavier applications for which standard marina systems are not suitable.

The Seawork range of pontoons caters for heavier applications for which standard marina systems are not suitable. Each project is custom designed to suit the site and the requirements. Pontoons with either steel or concrete structures can be supplied.

Typical applications:

  • Berthing for commercial boats up to 100 tonnes
  • Fishing Boat berthing
  • TourBoat landings
  • Fuelling Pontoons
  • Public Landings and Walkways
  • Floating Breakwaters

Seawork - Steel Pontoons

The Seawork pontoon system is a modular design that is suitable for use in coastal marinas or exposed inland waters.

Steel Pontoons

These pontoons are designed around the Intermarine range of engineered concrete floats.

  • Welded steel
  • Structure comprising frames designed for each project and galvanised to BS EN ISO1461 Intermarine
  • stainless steel reinforced concrete floats
  • Lengths up to 13.5m
  • Widths up to 3.5m in one section
  • Reserve Buoyancy up to 5kN/m
  • Hardwood decking from Grade 1 Specificationies supplied in sections up to 50mm thick Mooring bollards to 50kN capacity

Seawork - Concrete Pontoons

The Seawork pontoon system is a modular design that is suitable for use in coastal marinas or exposed inland waters.

Concrete Pontoons

In co-operation with Marinetek of Finland, Intermarine offers a range of concrete pontoons. Originally developed in Scandinavia to cope with the harsh winter conditions, the units have been professionally designed by one of the most reSpecificationted marine engineering companies in Finland and have been well proven.

  • Individual units up to 20m long
  • Widths from 2.4m to 4.0m
  • Up to 40 tonnes overall weight
  • Wing wall option for breakwaters
  • Wave attenuation curves available for all units where used as breakwaters
  • Integral expanded polystyrene buoyancy

Seawork - Floating Landing Stages

The Seawork pontoon system is a modular design that is suitable for use in coastal marinas or exposed inland waters.

Floating Landing Stages

Intermarine has designed and built a wide variety of Landing Stages to cater for vessels up to 150 tonnes.

Typical examples are:

  • Simple access points at canal locks.
  • Landings for Waterbuses or Tour boats
  • Landings for Cruise tenders

Intermarine can undertake this type of scheme as Turnkey projects covering design, pontoons, access bridges and piles or moorings.

Pontoon designs can be adapted for pontoon widths up to 10m and bridges have been supplied up to 40m long.

Interfloat - Specification

The Interfloat pontoon system is a modular design that is suitable for use in coastal marinas or exposed inland waters.

Structure

The pontoons have a reinforced concrete structure with integral expanded buoyancy. Reinforcement near the surface is galvanised.

Pontoons can be supplied with textile or painted protection to the base of the polystyrene. Alternative heavier duty treatments can be supplied where required.

Connections

The units are connected end to end with flexible connections compromising M37 galvanised bolts and rubber bushes. Units may be connected side to end by prior design.

Moorings

The pontoons may be fixed either by pile or flexible moorings. 4 No. mooring points with access from the deck are built into the structure.

Service Ducts

Continuous top access service ducts may be built into all units down both sides. Ducts are fitted with anodished aluminium covers as standard.

Fenders

Walkways are fitted as standard with 145x70mm softwood fenders.

Lifting Points

For safe handling built in lifting points are included in all units
