Intermarine Completes River Landing in Bath

Intermarine have successfully completed the installation of a lock approach landing for the Canal & River Trust in Bath. The heavy duty Seawork pontoons have been custom designed to cope with the extreme flood conditions on the river and for use by heavy steel canal barges. The Seawork system is constructed from galvanised steel and is much stronger than traditional marina pontoons. To cope with the high flow conditions on the River Avon (Location) one end of the pontoon has an integrated flow/debris deflector. The works were carried out under Intermarine’s 5 year National Contract with the Canal & River Trust (formerly British Waterways). The piling works were sub-contracted to Drake Towage, whom have now successfully completed over 5 projects in partnership with Intermarine.
