LOADING

The design structural loadings are specified on the ‘General Design’ datasheet. The standard stabilised vertical loadings are applied between ducts.

FREEBOARD

The system has a minimum unladen freeboard of 500mm.

STRUCTURE

Each unit has a welded aluminium structure comprising standard sections and specially commissioned extrusions. The aluminium alloy is 6082T6.

DECKING

Standard decking is 145mm x 21mm hardwood boards with a special grooved profile. There are a number of further decking options (see ‘Decking’ datasheet). The decks are fixed with stainless steel screws.

SERVICE DUCTS

Service ducts are provided down both sides of all walkways as standard. The duct size is 220mm x 90mm deep. Duct covers are anodised aluminium in 2m sections.

A continuous PVC service support tray can be provided in the duct as an optional extra.

CLEATS

Walkways are designed for fitting Intermarine standard cast aluminium cleats at 1m centres. Fingers up to 7m long have 4 No. cleats fitted as standard and fingers of 8m and longer have 6 No.

The cleats have a 2 tonne inline breaking load.

FLOATS

  • Professionally manufactured under quality controlled conditions
  • Expanded polystyrene core
  • Stainless steel reinforcing
  • Stainless steel fixing bolts

POLYETHYLENE

  • Medium density polyethylene casings
  • Single piece rotary mouldings to Intermarine design
  • Fused closed cell polystyrene core

WALKWAYS

Standard walkways are supplied with concrete floats but may be fitted with polyethylene floats in catamaran layout as an option.
